Amazon suppresses listings with 0 images entirely — no notification in Seller Central, no email, no error. The listing shows as active but buyers can't find it. Find every suppressed or at-risk ASIN in your catalog in 30 seconds.
A suppressed listing is still visible in Seller Central — it shows as active, with an ASIN, with inventory. But Amazon has removed it from search results. Buyers searching for your product cannot find it organically or via PPC. Sales drop to zero from that listing. You receive no notification.
Work through these in order. Image count is the most common suppression cause and the fastest to check.
Upload your flat file to Image Count Validator. Every ASIN with 0 images is flagged as Critical immediately. These are your suppression candidates — fix these first before investigating other potential causes.
For each Critical ASIN, search Amazon.com for the ASIN number directly. If the listing doesn't appear even when searched by ASIN, it is suppressed. If it does appear, the issue is organic visibility — not suppression.
Upload at least one main image to each suppressed ASIN via Seller Central or flat file upload. Amazon typically restores suppressed listings to search results within 24–72 hours of adding a valid main image.
After fixing suppressed listings, address below-threshold ASINs (1–6 images) to remove ranking penalties. The Image Count Validator's Warning flag covers these — sort by image count ascending and work from the lowest count upward.
Missing images is the most common cause — but if your image count is fine and the listing is still suppressed, check these next.
0 images in your flat file. Amazon requires at least one valid main image to show the listing in search. Fix: add images via Seller Central and wait 24–72 hours.
Prohibited content in title, bullets, or description — competitor brand names, external URLs, misleading claims, or prohibited category terms. Check for warnings in the Listing Quality dashboard in Seller Central.
Some categories require specific attributes that your listing may be missing — size, color, material type, age range for children's products. Amazon suppresses listings missing required fields in specific categories.
A brand complaint or IP report against your listing can trigger suppression. Check the Account Health dashboard in Seller Central for any active IP or authenticity flags related to the ASIN.
Upload your flat file. Critical zero-image ASINs are flagged immediately. Fix them before another day of lost ranking and zero sales.
